QUICK ANSWER

McKenna Boiler Works, Inc. designs and builds steam and hot water boilers for manufacturing plants, ships them to plants across the United States and internationally, with startup and commissioning in any state, and installs and services them across California. McKenna sizes boilers to the process pressure and how the load moves through a shift, builds them in its ASME code shop in Oceanside, and services McKenna boilers and other brands on a schedule that fits shifts and planned shutdowns. Manufacturing

Steam and hot water sized to the process.

Manufacturing plants use steam and hot water for heated presses, curing and drying, heated tanks, parts washing, and building heat. The right boiler depends on the pressure the process needs, how the load moves through a shift, and how much condensate comes back.

We look at the process, the fuel, and the room before we size anything. If the plant is growing, we can leave room for another boiler or design a lead-lag system from the start.

What matters

What a manufacturing boiler room needs.

Matched pressure

Boilers and controls set to the pressure the process actually needs.

Shift-to-shift loads

Turndown and sequencing that follow the load through the day.

Condensate return

Getting condensate back saves fuel, water, and treatment chemicals.

Room to grow

A plant layout that leaves space for the next boiler.

Codes and rules

Codes and air rules for process boilers.

New boilers are built and stamped under the ASME code in our shop, installed to the California Mechanical Code and ASME CSD-1 where it applies, and inspected for the Cal/OSHA permit to operate before they go into service.

A plant that grows its boiler capacity can cross an air district size threshold, which changes the NOx limit and the permit. McKenna checks the limit before sizing, supports permits and source testing, and retrofits ultra-low NOx burners when a boiler can’t meet its limit.
