Aerospace & Defense

Process heat and building heat.

Aerospace and defense facilities use boilers for heated process and plating tanks, parts washers, humidification, and building heat. Process work often runs to tight specifications, so temperature and pressure have to hold.

Bases and defense plants each set their own access and safety rules. We work out the paperwork and the schedule with your facilities team before the crew arrives.

What matters

What an aerospace and defense boiler room needs.

Steady process heat

Temperatures and pressures that hold for process and plating tanks.

Documentation

Inspection, test, and service records for your quality and facilities teams.

Safety program

An ISNetworld member, with OSHA 10-Hour training for every factory and field employee and OSHA 30-Hour training for management.

Uptime

Service and backup plans so production and test schedules hold.

Codes and rules

Codes, records, and air rules.

Each new boiler is ASME-stamped in our shop, installed to the California Mechanical Code, and inspected for its Cal/OSHA permit to operate before it heats a process tank. Quality teams often ask for boiler records alongside tank temperature records, so McKenna keeps control and safety device test results from startup and every maintenance visit.

Aerospace plants often hold air permits for plating, coating, and process equipment, and larger boilers are permitted by the same air district. On the boiler side, McKenna supports permits and source tests and retrofits ultra-low NOx burners on boilers over their limit.
